Janina Faye

Child actress whose adorable features ensured her a modest string of successful horror roles in the late '50s and early '60s. Her most famous was as Tanya, the niece of Lucy Holmwood in 'Horror of Dracula' (1958). Her other Hammer appearances were in 'Never Take Sweets from a Stranger' and 'The Two Faces of Dr Jekyll', both in 1960. Outside of Hammer, she was seen in 'The Hands of Orlac' (1961) and 'The Day of the Triffids' (1962). After her years with Hammer, she went on to have a successful career on the stage, including several years in the National Theatre, and she is still acting today.
