Sing Out! is a joint project between the Merseyside boroughs of Knowsley, Sefton, Halton and St Helens. Composer Bill Connor, whose TV credits include the themes from Gladiators, Granada Tonight and Albion Market, will be working with groups from all four boroughs to devise a unique piece of choral music reflecting the region.

Can sing? Can't sing? Want to sing? It doesn't matter how great a singer you are; if you want to be involved, you can be. The project isn't about technical brilliance, but about the buzz and excitement of creating music. It won't be conventional or stuffy, but we can promise it will be innovative and loads of fun.

The weekly workshops will culminate in a special performance in December this year.

How do I get involved?
Just come along to a workshop and join in. Everyone is welcome, regardless of age, background and music ability.

Who runs the workshops?

Kaya Herstad is leading the workshops. As well as being a successful singer-songwriter in her own right, she is a member of  the Liverpool-based choir Sense of Sound, who made the finals of Last Choir Standing on BBC1 this year.

When & where are the workshops?
The workshops are every Wednesday evening from 6.30 to 8.00pm (occasionally at other times - see below) at Prescot Leisure Centre.

Who can I contact for more information?
Ring Dave Kernick (Sing Out Knowsley Coordinator) on 0151 493 9392, or email kernick@gmail.com.
